The reservoir levels were very low.
Combs Moss behind Errwood Reservoir.
Walking through the wood next to Fernilee Reservoir.
There are occassional glimpses of Fernilee Reservoir through the trees.
Climbing up to Oldfield and the view north extends as far as Chinley Churn.
Looking east Combs Moss is in view.
I had a late lunch at Windgather Rocks. Here looking towards Whaley Moor.
Behind me Kinder's plateau is just about visible.
As ever there are climbers enjoying a dry day on the rocks.
Looking across Goyt Forest and Hoo Moor to Combs Moss.
Open Access means it's now possible to follow a path across the moor to Pym Chair rather than having to walk on the road.
The stone chapel known locally as the Honeypot.
Inside the Honeypot, which is a shrine to a former Spanish
governess at Errwood Hall.
Looking across to Stake Side as I follow the track to Errwood Hall.
The sun is setting the hills behind Errwood Reservoir alight as I head back to the car.
